Creativity is Rebellion

Creativity is not frivolous. 

For so long I was told that art was something nice to have as a hobby but I should get a “real job”. 

However, it was creativity that saved me from the toll taken by that “real job”.  Art helped me come back to myself.

Art is not frivolous, it is essential. 

Creativity is not just something that’s nice to have, it’s vital to our well-being. 

Whatever form that creativity may take. 

It is an outlet.  

It is expression. 

It is rebellion. 

A way to quiet the noise of the outside world and focus within.

A way to process and make sense of things.

It can be a respite . . . a refuge . . . an escape. 

That's the beauty of it, creativity can be whatever you need it to be.
